This composition is based on the story of Newab Gigam who was a Masalai the neighbouring people to the Omie. Their culture is very similar.
Newab had dread locks. He walked up and down the river and when he saw people he normally killed them. Then he sat on the river stones and ate them and threw the bones down stream.
Well another Masalai Aige’e’ saw this and strongly disapproved so he broke all the stones and killed Newab. That was the end of the story.
